Cool, huh? You can see the nut, the shell, and the skin of the nut that is peeling off inside the shell!

Neat! I thought you usually do ice crystal stuff, right? Just having fun with an electron microscope?

Yup. That's what nerds do for fun. :)

Those images were actually from a CT scanner. I don't think SEM can do slices like that. :)
