Three! Three pairs of pants! Ah, ah ah!

Last night, before I went to bed, I observed this:

The girls were all, "Yeah? And? We'll be ready for our run tomorrow at the regular time!"

It was a few degrees warmer this morning, but I still wore this:

Fleece pants under wool pants under polyester pants, a wool undershirt under a light fleece shirt under a wool vest under a heavy fleece shirt, a neck gaiter, a hat, mittens, and the usual assortment of reflective and blinky lights, and we're good to go!

Although I still wear the same light shoes:

A post-run cuddle tops it off!

How do you protect your eyes? You've posted photos of frosty eyelashes before, but it must be pretty uncomfortable to have that cold wind hit your eyeballs? Do you wear clear goggles?
Also, love them dawgs!

My eyes are fine. What gets cold sometimes are my temples, but the stretch from my eyebrows to my upper cheekbones is exposed and feels fine. There is a myth that contact lenses freeze at low temperatures, but it's not true.

WHY????

@mdr, several reasons: Discipline, routine, focus. My 14-year-old dogs are the healthiest anyone has ever seen at that age, and I myself am one of the healthiest people I know, even including the people ten years younger.

Part of it is good genes and luck, but the other is discipline and good self-care.

Okay, just be safe and always take good care of yourself.

@mdr: Why, thank you!
