This group of four bull meese has been hanging around our neighborhood. It's two sets of brothers: one pair of yearlings, probably born in 2016, and the other born just this year. Way too young to be on their own. They are probably orphaned and thus have attached themselves to the older pair. The older pair, being only yearlings, will not to into rut this year, and will continue to hang out together, as siblings are wont to do. I've made a friend who is a wildlife biologist at Fish and Game, and she explains these things. :)
I only got a blurry photo of the babes:
It seems like the setup for an Adam Sandler heartwarming screwball comedy--a pair of orphaned brothers gets adopted by a pair of twentysomething brothers; chaos, antics, and heartwarming Episodes ensue. But this is not comedy, and the upcoming winter will be winter as usual. I don't know if the young 'uns will make it. :(
