Summer winding down generally means several things--cooler temperatures, rain, the blessed disappearance of mosquitoes, the Fair, and blueberry picking!
I found my neighbors' animals easily. Her youngest daughter is a 4H superstar and future vet! She showed goats, pigs, and rabbits! This is Nefertiti, who helped her young mistress win Champion Showman for Dairy Goat:
She is a sweetie and charmed a headrub out of every passerby.
This is Turbo. He won Class Champion for Companion Goats. I had no idea that companion goats were a thing. I like it!
A Very Personable Goat:
A goat with beagle ears:
Another Very Personable Goat:
A very pretty ram:
Do not pet rams!
Little Meadow and her beloved lamb. AWWWWwwwwww...
I mean, dayum! My birth control almost rebelled looking at these two...
The winningest cabbage was 58.4 pounds!
The cabbage contestants:
And it was a lovely day at the Fair!
We got awesome blueberries, too, but I'm tired. Will post the berry picking photos later!

Glad to see the "cut" got cut and spread into 3 years. However, Confucius said it and all Chinese know this -- those who don't think into (concerned about) future often get into trouble in the present. Another one not by Confusius, is the lost-horse story, what looking bad today might not be bad in the long-run, what looking good today might not be good in the long-run. Always please remember this old philosophy in good times and bad times.
