Because of Fairbanks' remote and far-north location, we see a lot of adventurers, like this guy and this guy. This guy came to my house for dinner once, and really enjoyed my spaghetti. :)
In other news, it seems that Nature is making a second go at Winter. We finally had frost again today, and a few days ago, I noticed that my favorite reindeer buck, who is, apparently, NOT this guy, had lost his felt at last.

I don't think these are the same reindeer. The reason is that these reindeer aren't at the Ag station - they're at LARS, and are buried back in the woods at that...
Oh... Haha! Do you know the one I'm talking about then? The one big dude at the Ag station, with the lay-deez milling all about him? Happiest reindeer on earth, perhaps. :)
I've seen him when I drive by, but we're not associated with the Ag station. They mostly work on things to develop reindeer herding, while we're more interested in pure biology. Also, their offices are across the road, so on the 'wrong side of the tracks' :p
Oh, haha.
Only AK residents can carry on this type of conversation --Rudolph's crown :-)
My uncle worked in a wildlife park, and he was keeper of the reindeer in "Santa Claus the movie", and also the otter who played Tarka in the 1970s film!
