Whoomp! There it is!
Today, we hit 80deg F, and the birch buds popped open:
I also noticed that the columbines I planted last summer have come back!

Columbines have held a special place in my heart since the shooting at the high school of the same name. I've grown them in my yard ever since. This is the first year they've really started naturalizing and spreading throughout my garden in a variety of colors. I did not know they grew so far north! We had some very hot days here too, but it's been cold and gloomy more recently. I am loving the long daylight hours, though.
Spring has sprung:) Warmer days have the garden bursting with color here. Enjoying this time of year with longer days & warm, but not too hot days. Thistle & Cricket look like such happy girls- what a blessing they are.Thank you for sharing the beautiful glass mosaic of Roo-very touching indeed :)
@Rena, what a beautiful soul you have. Thank you for telling me this. I hope mine spread around my yard the way they did around the patch on UAF campus from which I gathered seeds!
@e.davis, it has cooled down since the weekend, but it's gloriously sunny with a bluebird sky. This is my favorite kind of summer weather. Yes, I have been very, very lucky indeed with my fuzzy companions. :)
