The ice went out!
The ice went out, and we put three guesses on last week. Oh well. :)
It went out at 10:53 pm, too! I wonder how many people actually pick times at night! I guess the lucky bastards this year will split the pot with WAY fewer people!

I took a Statistic Sampling class, total Greek to me. Runs in the family.
Best wishes to your exams, don't get stressed though. Always remember the lost horse story in life.
Sorry to hear you didn't win the jackpot. Rats. So what happens to that tripod, then? It must be difficult to retrieve from the river as I imagine it's still stuck to a big chunk of ice, right?
They wait until the ice is gone, then pull it out and set it on the shore so you can have your photograph taken with it. They build a new one every year, though, so I'm not sure what happens to them all. That would be quite a collection!
