By the way, these dogs happily and enthusiastically chase down, kill, and devour wild rodents and wabbits. They just know that ours are different. :)

I guess it's a bit like eating fish at the Monterey Bay Aquarium's cafeteria. There are some fish for eatin', and some for watchin'!
I am reading a book on reindeer herding in Siberia. Apparently, reindeer are the only domesticated animals that humans regularly use to help hunt their own wild cousins (they ride them to hunt caribou). I found it poignantly sad. As for fish, though, don't fish have their own food chains in the sea? I mean, fish eat other fish, right? So it's not so terrible for them to watch you eat other fish, as long as they aren't the same type. ;)
I don't think I could ever eat rabbits in the presence of my own rabbits, though. That would be too unsettling.

We were eating dimsum the other day and were seated next to a fish tank. It seemed wrong for the fish to be watching you eat their friends!
