I've come to realize that quite a few huskies have that. It's congenital and not related to actual happiness; they just like to hang their heads and look pitiful. I've heard them called "Eeyore dogs". :)

Linden is another type that is common. I call them "Goober dogs". :)

It said Celery, Iceberg lettuce and cucumber have the least nutritional value. I still believe in celery (nerve calming) and cucumber (cooling)
The staring sad eyes are sooo effective! My dog uses them to get treats from anyone who falls under her spell. My dad who was an allergy ridden dog disliker would tell me to buy the dog treats all the time! The smile only works on dog lovers...
