I'd love to bring Loki to work so he could interact with my students. I think it would be beneficial to children with Downs, ADHD, ADD and Aspergers - but unfortunately I can only let them meet outside the building. I think my SG would learn to read a lot better, if it was Loki listening to her...
We have a program at our local Cupertino city library where children read to dogs once a week. We've never done it, but our neighbor has read to the doggies for 5 years now - she loves it! I'm not sure if they allow the dogs into the library (probably too much liability in our litigious California), or if everyone meets in the courtyard.
