And now your garden has just about caught up with mine. We took a three week hiatus while the weather decided to take a cold dip. Really cold.
Hey, I hope you get some red strawberries this year! If you cover them carefully with straw will they overwinter? I figure strawberries grow in the Alps, so they must be able to withstand some pretty cold temps, right?
There are lot of wild strawberries around here, so it's certainly possible. Hm, you've just given me an idea. I'm going to go visit Ann this weekend and get some of her Northern-type strawberries that are supposed to be perennial and put them into pots and see if I can get them to overwinter. If nothing else, it will be a curiosity.
