Somehow our pleasant afternoon thundershowers have progressed into continuous rain. The rain barrel overfloweth, and my squash blossoms won't even open. Not that there would be any bees to fertilize them, of course. Well, the upside is that there are no mosquitoes, and I don't have to water the garden!
But I'm cold. Days like this feel colder than Winter. It's a damp cold that seeps through your clothes and makes you shiver.

The damp cold you mention is why UK winters aren't much fun. It doesn't even need to be anywhere near freezing to feel horrible!
Ayuh. All I wanted to do yesterday was crawl back into bed. We have a reprieve from the rain today, so it's nice and sunny, but it's supposed to return tomorrow.
Why don't you bring out your spring/winter clothes?
Of course I wear more clothes, but it's still not pleasant. I think the key to getting through damp, dreary days is to wear fuzzy clothes (like fleece or wool) and eat lots of cookies. :)
