how cute and beautiful, where you found them? I have never seen blue eggs before.
@mdr the robin nest (whose eggs are "robin's egg blue" as they say) is in the vicinity of my office!
The seagull parents are certainly much less charming than the robins! They divebomb us and scream at us! I'm sure they say very rude things in their language!
Never heard "robin's egg blue" before either, only heard "red-breast robin". English is not my language you know. CH planned for a year to have her roof done starting yesterday for one week. Do you believe it has been raining since last night?
A bit late to the "great expectations" party, but I just read this article about "Haint Blue", to ward off flying insects from your house: http://www.rootsimple.com/2015/06/haint-blue/ It doesn't make any sense why it ought to work, and yet I'm tempted to try it. This year we've had a lot of paper wasps. I only knock down their nests if they're directly in front of a doorway, as they're good for caterpillars and other soft-bodied pests.
@Rena; interesting! My ceiling is blue, just because I like the color! Unfortunately, my porch's "ceiling" is rough cut wood and corrugated steel, so painting it is out of the question!

@mdr, poor timing indeed! But I thought that in California it was illegal to complain about rain. ;)
