Autumn Gnawing on her Bone

It's always fascinated me in dogs that have "feral" appearances--the juxtaposition of their soft, gentle eyes against their fierce, powerful teeth.

I can't decide which of my family members befuddles me more--the cute-as-a-cartoon rabbit with the savage temper, or the Wolf with the Big Teeth that cuddles with me like a kitten.

Yeah, we have similar contrasts in this house:
The cute cat that stretches out and offers her tummy to be scratched, only to lash out and bite the first sucker that even gets near her tummy.

The sweet kids that have great appetites and love to eat all sorts of healthy stuff like salmon and kale and blueberries, only to produce incredibly gross poop five times a day that I have to hand-rinse out of their diapers (yup, we're still using cloth).

BTW, my cousin's found a great hot alternative to coffee - hot chocolate without the sugar. Just bloom some cocoa powder in a little hot water to make a "syrup", then fill the mug with cold skim milk, nuke until hot. It's rich, bitter like coffee, lo-cal if you use skim milk, and really satisfying. Still has caffeine, but nothing like tea or coffee.

I cannot wait to meet Autumn and I am so glad she is a good companion for you. Thank God you decided not to run in the dark, please be careful when taking walks. Regardless, wear something to cover your face when you are out.
