Thanks to TwoYaks for this earth-shattering link! It did make the front page of the Minor News, but it was lower down, so I might otherwise have missed this momentous announcement.
Although I am a dilettante food snob, I like the Olive Garden, too! My only problem with them is that they don't offer anything that I can't make at home, so why pay 4 times the cost to eat what I eat at home? When I go out, I like it to be for something I can't or won't cook!
Awesome, olive garden is da best. The idea too is to go out with friend and enjoy the company... and being in a lively environment. Going out to eat is only half about the food.
But the money is not the issue. The idea is to go out to a place with good food, good company and not having to do the work for it... so to get this you pay money for that service. You can't get all 3 at home.
I'm not stating that I don't feel it's worth going out to eat; I'm stating that *when I go out to eat*, I prefer to eat something different from what I cook at home.

Fortunately Los Anchorage still has Villa Nova's so there's at still a good Italian place down there.
Insert "least" betwixt the "at" and the "still" in previous post. Ta.
I like Olive Garden and I think it fits just right for Anchorage and hopefully soon in Fairbanks -- warm soup, family style setting, moderatly priced.

But half *is* food, so why not put your money toward something you'd enjoy more?

you don't get infinite re-fills of breadsticks and salad at home though!
There you go 'B' a good point!
Blah blah blah! I'm not going to say that the Olive Garden is my top choice of restaurant, and you can't make me! :)
But it is a good restaurant! :)
