Summer tire time

So my neighbor caught me swapping my tires, and promptly... snapped a photo:

He offered to help, but I was on my last one, and my clothes were already dirty, and his were clean. Thankyoueversomuch.

You'll note that I am wearing pearl and turquoise earrings. Just like a lady. :)

you don't look like you in this picture at all. A mother cannot even be sure if this picture is her girl, hummm.

Is it considered socially unacceptable for you to have a garage change your tires for you there? (isn't it free?)

Hmmm... I hadn't thought about it. I only recently got another set of rims, so I've only in recent years even had the ability to swap my tires myself. Before that, I had to take the car to the tire shop to have them put the seasonal rubber onto the rims and then swap them.

When I got the extra set of rims, my first thought was, "Yay! Now I can just swap the tires really quickly in my yard, and not have to drive to the tire shop!" It honestly didn't cross my mind to go to the tire shop anyway!

It is good to know how to do it yourself if really needed, please be very careful not to hurt yourself. Normally if someone else can do it, why not?! Your valuable time can be used somewhere else too

The more you do something, the more efficiently you can do it. If I ever have a flat tire on the side of the highway, I'd be at an advantage if I can change it very quickly and be out of a dangerous situation asap, rather than wasting a good ten minutes scratching my head and wringing my hands first!

Changing a tire is but one example of many. I think that when something needs to be done, if your immediate first thought is, "Okay, let's do this!" you're positioned to do better in life than if your immediate first thought is, "Okay, whom do I call to do this for me?" Sure, I don't have to change my own tires, but it's part of a general life philosophy and habit that I believe has served me well.
