They're so happy and excited! The teams have to be held back by giant metal spikes in the ground, while they whine and howl until they can run.
On such a cold day, most doggies wear jackets.

That's pretty cool. Am I mistaken, or is that race taking place in a riverbed? Or is that a street that's just covered with ice and snow?
Yup, it's the Chena river, all frozen over. :)
