Misc photos

Here are some photos from the chocolate party at the Museum:

Leaning Tower of White Chocolate:

The event was loosely organized internationally, with each station representing its nation's desserts and wines:

Chocolate statues:

Chocolate barrel:

Me in the outhouse exhibit:

Looking down from the top floor:

My with my favorite item in the museum--a grizzly on his hind paws:

And feeding a gigantic raven:

Now here are some photos from Chinese Easter Sunday. You do know what Chinese Easter is, don't you? It's a half-priced ham that went on sale the day after rest-of-the-world Easter. An annual tradition in my humble abode.

Rice krispie bunny:

22-lb ham. That cost the same as an 11-lb ham would have a week earlier!

Dan sliced it nicely. Organization and aesthetics are Dan's forte. :)

Silly goober dawgs:

Autumn has very little patience for the sillypants twins:

Nice looking ham - Dan is most talented! Do the doggies get ham too? I can't remember if they eat people food or not?

And you look very nice in those chocolate photos - very svelte! But what the heck is that outhouse photo all about? What are you sitting on, and what are all those pictures on the wall of the outhouse?

You are beautiful in the bear picture. The raven one looked like you were posing in ballet. Dan did a good job with the ham.

Oh yes! Doggies get table scraps! In fact, Sam's parents use her as a compost bin. Huskies are bred to be particularly greedy eaters, because they need lots of energy to pull a sled all day.

As for that outhouse, I must point out here that although my favorite museum exhibits feature mounted animals, Native arts and crafts, and historical photos, there are also some off-center things which I hope are tongue-in-cheek. The outhouse is just decorated with all kinds of crazy random crap, like you sometimes see in roadside pubs. I do like that it has a foam seat, though. Just as a true Alaskan outhouse should. :)

I agree with Mudder -- you look absolutely gorgeous in the bear picture.

Also, how awesome is a chocolate party at a museum? And Chinese Easter Ham Carved by Dan? And goober dogs? This post has too much awesomeness for one post.
