It was fantastic!
When I first moved into my place, I was excited about the fireweed in front and looked forward to a carpet of pink when they all blossomed. I hadn't realized at the time that not all of the stems make flowers. Finally, four years later, I have my field of pink!
The giant heads of lettuce make for some very veggie suppers:

The front "yard" looks neater, but wouldn't the weeds make the best hideout for mosquitos?
I pulled all of the non-flower-bearing ones... I could not bring myself to kill the flowers. :/
